Richmond Hill Little League Coaching The RHLL is always looking for good baseball and softball coaches. We encourage anyone interested to please apply. In our efforts to provide the best coaches and provide a positive baseball experience for the children of our district we have set the following requirements, procedures and policies that shall be enforced by the RHLL Baseball committee. The following requirements shall be met by head coaches and assistant coaches. Any person who is instructing on the practice field or in the opinion of the baseball committee is acting or taking on the role of a coach. Any person who would like to coach must complete the following by 2/1/10 for the 2010 season. --->1. Complete Coaches Registration online through Rec 1. --->2. Complete the Little League Coaches Application (available online) and turn to the office along with a copy of a government issued photo ID. This allows us to complete a background check and is required by Little League. --->3. Have completed National Youth Sports Coaches Association Course either through a clinic or online and have a current membership. --->4. Attend Hands on Coaches Training. After the application is received by the RHLL the applicant shall be considered for coaching. The RHLL board shall vote on the applicant within 60 days of the application. The applicant shall be considered for coaching based on how the RHLL Baseball committee determines how the applicant measures against “Coaches and Managers Role” and “Double Goal Coaching principals”. These documents can be found on the Little League Baseball website. The RHLL baseball committee may seek additional information from past players, parents and associates if the committee determines they need additional information to consider a vote. After an applicant is approved for coaching he/she will be informed within 14 days. The approved applicant shall be subject to the RHLL coaching sonority rules, background check, and education as required by The Richmond Hill Recreation Association, Bryan County Little League and Richmond Hill Little League baseball committee. Outline of Seniority Head Coach in the same division/age group as the prior year Assistant Coach in the same division/age group as the prior year Head Coach moving up to a new age group Assistant Coach moving up in age group Head Coach who coached in the RHRA within the last three years but did not coach last year Assistant Coach who coached in the RHRA within the last three years but did not coach last year New Coach who has never coached in the RHRA or RHLL Travel Team, All-star team, Tournament Team coaches shall be chosen by the RHLL baseball committee. It is our goal to build a strong Little League program in southeast Georgia. Any coach who pulls players from The RHLL to form a travel or tournament team shall be suspended from coaching in RHLL for at least one year. The returning coach will lose all sonority and must go back through the application process. Coaches returning to Coach in the 2009/2010 year shall be subject to these rules.
